Rocky’s Bar

Inspired by one of the coolest cats ever, our former hotel mascot Rocky, the Bunkhouse Art Department set out to craft an identity for Rocky’s that’s more than brand—its’s a whimsical daydream come to life. We envisioned a place that captures the cozy, sunlit charm of the perfect summer day, complete with sun, fun, buns, and puns. Think of it as a beach vibe, but on a driveway. Many thanks to Britt Warren for out main Rocky’s logo and Avery Branen for killer cat illustrations.

South By San José

Since 2000, Bunkhouse has hosted South by San José in the parking lot of Jo’s Coffee. Since then, the annual occurrence has grown from a one-day occurrence to a massive five-day mini-festival that features food offerings, pop-up bars, local vendors, and dozens of bands. I was tapped to create the 25th Anniversary poster, merchandise, and graphics package.

Branding & Identity for Bunkhouse's Mexico City Project. Those who have been lucky enough to visit CDMX understand the dreamlike quality of the experience. Travelers have infinite paths before them.
We aim to embody the Mexico City ideal of La Sobremesa, the stretch of time and conversation after the eating is finished, when the tablecloth is soiled and empty glasses outnumber full ones. Find your in-between here.

Jo’s Coffee is an iconic Austin coffee shop known for its coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast tacos. During my time with the team Bunkhouse has opened 2 new locations and expanded the brand with new retail and goodies, and kept Austin running since 1999.

Giving Shape To Time

Single most important project I've ever worked on.
Giving Shape To Time features photographic work by 13 American Photographers processing the events of 2020. Quarantine brought our lives into a strange limbo of sorts, where the world outside was grappling with an invisible, deadly enemy, while inside our homes, we tried to understand and process. During shutdown, the things that mark our days — commuting to work, sending our kids to school, having a drink with friends — vanished and time took on a flat, seamless quality. Showcasing work created during 2020, Giving Shape To Time, finds 13 photographers attempting to do just that, give shape and meaning to a time of uncertainty. This new book showcases many never-before-seen works and includes an essay by Christopher Neely.

So, working closely with the SHOWTIME team, we created #ShamelessLastCall: an immersive digital event that launched online immediately after the finale. The event consisted of a final panel discussion, an interactive 3D recreation of the Shameless set, and lots of exclusive content.

Every year during Emmy campaign season, Netflix brings its A-game. Working with experiential agency We’re Magnetic, the company creates a massive brand activation called FYSEE to showcase its standout original content to voting academy members, the press, and fans.
This year, due to COVID-19, Netflix decided to bring FYSEE to life as an interactive digital experience. We joined the team to help make it happen.
